About the Maple Leaf Run

The Maple Leaf Run was conceived and organized by the Race Director Drena Hill. Drena has organized many fund raising events over the past 20 years, and has recently directed her efforts to supporting Wounded Warriors Canada. They operate with minimal overhead costs, directing a large percentage of their funds directly to the programs that support veterans and their families as well as first responders. Their work has direct and immediate impact on the lives of those they work with.

Wounded Warriors Canada delivers a national slate of mental health programs and services that are adaptive, innovative and evidence-informed. Their investments providing life changing and family saving results for our Veterans, First Responders and their families. Mental health is a serious issue needs more attention and awareness. Running is a great way to promote  both mental and physical health.  With the Maple Leaf Run, your active lifestyle will help raise awareness and assist people in need.

We are passionate about supporting the work Wounded Warriors Canada is doing. We are strictly volunteers and all net proceeds from the run will go to Wounded Warriors Canada. Our long term goal is to support nation-wide Maple Leaf Runs annually – Thank you, you are helping us get there!
